The Accounting Assistant is responsible for assisting our Sr. Accountant with the business transactions of the company. Such work shall reflect appropriate application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and best practices with respect to analytical work, reconciliations and quality control review of financial records.  You'll have a key role in A/R, A/P, Sale Order / Payment reconciliation and other day-to-day accounting and analysis.  This position reports directly to our Sr. Accountant.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work within our Netsuite ERP on a daily basis to process and reconcile daily sales, RMA and other financial transactions
  • Assist our Sr. Accountant with day-to-day, monthly, year-end, and ad hoc tasks and analysis
  • Accounts Receivable and Payable posting and reconciliation
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency and accuracy through proper application of accounting principles
  • Work with Excel to create various reports and analyze sales data, trends, pricing, etc.
  • Research inquiries / discrepancies

  • Possess the ability to multi-task in a hectic role, while ensuring the highest levels of accuracy across all open items.
  • Are great at communicating via any medium necessary - in person, on the phone, over email, instant messenger, etc.
  • Demonstrate initiative, perseverance, autonomy and efficiency on a daily basis.
  • Are a go-getter with the drive to succeed, and ready to show the world what you have to offer.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with NetSuite highly desired
  • Associates degree in Accounting or related field a plus
  • Experience as as assistant buyer / analyst a plus
  • 1+ year experience
  • Strong computer skills, system aptitude
  • History of being an overly organized perfectionist, along with continued desire to learn and improve.
